We're all off for a day out at the London Tattoo Convention on Friday 23rd September which means the studio will be closed for the day. We'll reopen for business as usual on Saturday 24th September.

Art For Animals Benefit

Darryl Gates was approached by Cory Schofield from Affinity Tattoos in Austin, Texas,
to create an original piece of artwork to raise funds for Austin Pets Alive -
a no kill animal shelter.
Tattoo artists from around the world have donated artwork to the 'Art For Animals' fundraiser, all of which are currently being auctioned online.
All proceeds will be donated to APA and will be used to buy pet supplies
and help keep dogs and cats off of other shelters' euthanasia list.
The auction closes on 9th October so visit the 'Art for Animals'
website and get bidding!

Mothers day tattoos for charity

On Sunday April 3rd Mil Martinez and Susanna Widmann will be doing mothers day tattoos in aid of Bliss -
a special care baby charity which provides vital support and care to premature and sick babies across the UK.
Designs from the selected flash vary in price from £30 - £60. We're not taking bookings for this event. It's first come first served so arrive early!

Diamond Jacks will be donating 10% of all t shirt sales to Greek Animal Rescue.
This is a UK based charity, working to alleviate the suffering of animals in Greece by supporting a number of animal shelters, sterilising as many dogs & cats as funds allow and finding homes for the lucky few in the UK and several other EU countries.

Check out the new film This Is England, on general release from 27th April. Diamond Jacks were responsible for creating tattoo designs for the cast members. Set in 1983, this is a story about a troubled boy growing up in England who becomes involved with skinheads.
Diamond Jacks studio in BBC3 documentary

Check out Diamond Jacks starring role in the new Basic Instinct movie, with Sharon Stone spending four hours filming at the premises (lucky us!).
On the subject of movies, Darryl was the technical creative consultant for Gillian Anderson and Danny Dyer in the forthcoming Straightheads movie. Also The Business directed by Nick Love and The Descent with Natalie Mendoza both featured tattoos designed by Diamond Jacks.
Big Brother Party

Diamond Jacks were invited to the Channel 4 Celebrity Big Brother Wrap Party in Piccadilly to offer our artistic skills (well, sticking temporary tattoos on drunk celebs!) Yep, with our own stall set up and free booze flowing all night till early Tuesday morning we worked like the dogs!
Thanks to all the staff at the Astor Bar (Atlantic Bar) and organizers who looked after us and all the Big Brother team.

Later this year check out the new feature film 'This Is England', a coming of age British feature film set in the early eighties. Diamond Jacks was approached to consult and create tattoo designs to reflect the subject matter of the film - the skinhead movement.
